Sand separators PSP are primarily designed to separate sand from mixtures captured in sandtraps of various types used in reject nodes of stock preparation lines. Their secondary function is to separate light impurities. Sand is poured out by an inclined screwshaft located in the bottom part of the machine vat. Light impurities are raked off by a pneumatic device on the vattop. The vat is divided in a collecting/stilling part and an inclined part where the impurities are taken out. The screw shaft design enables a high efficiency of separating fine particles. The machine operation is either continuous or intermittent with periodical light impurities raking from surface making easier pouring themout.
Design
The machines are of the same design and they differ above all in the screw shaft inclination. The design is chosen with regards to the technological position and the sort of processed matter.
The machine is anchored on concrete foundations to raise the reject output neck. The screw shaft is driven by an electric gearbox fixed to the machine vat. The rake device is driven by means of a pneumatic cylinder.
The mater input neck is in the vat top part, the output neck is behind as lide keeping the surface stable. The vat is equipped with an emptying neck in the bottom part.
